Goodrich Defeats Durand Girls' Soccer Team
In the second round of the GAC tournament, Durand lost to Goodrich 3-0 Wednesday.  The Lady Railroaders will finish the tournament at home on Friday May 17th vs. Mt. Morris, starting at 4:30pm.
JV Softball Splits With New Lothrop
In Tuesday night JV softball action, Durand had to come from behind in game one to clinch a 14-13 win over the Hornets of New Lothrop.  In the second game, New Lothrop held onto the lead and won 15-12.  Coach Shankster said, "The girls worked and played well as a team.  They really kept their heads in the game and I am very proud of them."
Baseball Clinches GAC RED Title
Congratulations to the Varsity Baseball team as they clinched a share of the GAC Red Division Championship last night with two victories over Lakeville!  The boys won 5-1 and 8-0 behind the pitching of Michael Perrin and Morgan Neyman.  The team is 17-3 overall and finished 12-2 in the conference.  They will play at New Lothrop on Thursday and will host The Durand Invitational tournament this weekend during Railroad days.
JV Softball Breezes Past Genesee
Monday night, the JV softball team added two more victories to the win column with 16-2 and 18-1 games against Genesee.  The girls play again tonight (Tuesday) at home vs. New Lothrop starting at 4:00pm. 
Softball Splits with Lakeville
The Lady Railroader split with Lakeville last night. In the first game the ladies came out hitting to get a 7 to 2 lead. But  Lakeville made a strong charge in the bottom of the 7th only to have Durand's Shiloh Brunet strike out the last batter. In the nightcap game the ladies' bats went to sleep and stayed there until the top of the 7th when they made a strong surge, but came up short. Top hitters for last night were, Jalynne Cunningham who went 7 for 8 and 2 RBI’s, Ashley Johnston went 2 for 6 with 2 RBI’s and Megan Wascha had 2 hits and 2 RBI’s. The team record is now 17-9 with a league record 10-4.
GAC Soccer Tournament
The GAC girls' soccer tournament begins today.  The Lady Railroaders will travel to Perry tonight and the game will begin at 4:30pm.
Girls' Basketball Player/Parent Meeting
Attention all future Durand high school girls basketball players!  There will be a player and parent meeting on Tuesday May 14th at 7:00pm in the high school library.  The meeting is for all incoming 9th-12th grade players  This will be an opportunity to meet the new coach and receive information for the summer camp schedule.
