Mrs. Bowman has been a teacher in Durand since January 2002. Her professional qualifications include a Bachelor's in Education from the University of Michigan - Flint, a Master's in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College in Detroit and a Masters in Administration from the University of Michigan - Flint.

Mrs. Bowman lives in Davison, Michigan with her husband and three kids. She is looking forward to a great year as Bertha Neal's Elementary Principal.
