Mr. Birchmeier began his teaching career at Durand High School in the Fall of 2002.  He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Michigan State University.  He has served as the Agriscience Instructor and FFA Advisor since that time.  In his spare time Mr. Birchmeier enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and farming.
