Enrollment / Schools of Choice

Durand Area Schools participates in Schools of Choice. Under the schools of choice program, parents can send their children to a public school outside of their home district, provided there is room in the choice district and the district approves the transfer.  Students are not charged tuition to attend Durand Area Schools.

Schools of Choice applications must be received during the application period of August 3-21, 2026.  Providing incomplete or inaccurate and/or false information will result in denial of your application.

Once accepted through Schools of Choice, your student(s) may continue to attend Durand Area Schools until graduation, unless there is a break in enrollment.  Transportation to and from school will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
